Educator Spotlight | Sarah Trimble
March 26, 2021
“My goal is to create a space both virtually and in person in which students feel comfortable, cared for, and capable of learning. I want my students to grow and think critically, using their minds and gifts to help others and the world around them.”
Sarah Trimble teaches 6th grade math at Lester Prep. She is originally from Southaven, MS. Sarah earned her Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Mississippi College and later attended graduate school through the Memphis Teacher Residency.

“I believe teachers get the rare opportunity to work with and watch students grow as thinkers, learners, and as people,” Sarah says. She finds that one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is having the opportunity to encourage and help equip students with tools for whatever they might approach in and outside of the classroom. As an educator, she takes it upon herself to make sure she is providing students with opportunities in the classroom to promote growth both academically and holistically.
When Sarah is not working, she enjoys trying new breakfast spots in Memphis. She fully endorses Brother Junipers. “The top tier omelet and grits are a must try!” Sarah says. She also enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, playing games with her family, and binge-watching Netflix shows and movies with her friends.
We appreciate your commitment and dedication to academic success. Let’s all congratulate Sarah for her contribution and for being the spotlight of the week!
