Staff Spotlight | Alex Wrobel

Alex Wrobel, CEG’s Director of Operational Systems, Data, and Technology, finds great joy in his job when things go smoothly for teachers. “The work of educating students will always be hard, but it doesn’t have to be frustrating,” he says. CEG staff can always count on Alex to solve their technology needs and assist them with all their data questions. 

Alex was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN, but moved to Memphis with his wife to be a part of Memphis Teacher Residency. Alex and his family love spending their time around town at the Memphis Botanic Garden, eating out, and hanging out with friends from church. However, a part of Alex’s heart will always be in the Midwest as he is a die-hard University of Michigan fan! Despite studying chemistry and chemical engineering at Calvin College, he would want to be the University of Michigan’s Athletic Director if he could have any other job in the world. 

Two things you may not know about Alex: he hates wearing socks and wishes there was a way to instantaneously and inexpensively travel with his family around the world!
