Carnecia Dickerson and Aaliyah Thomas are both new to Lester Prep this year, but it hasn't taken them long to make a big impression! As 6th grade scholars, these students have shown such tremendous drive and aptitude in math that Mr. Sloan was forced to go to great lengths to push them to the next level.
These scholars began attending Mr. Murphy's 8th grade math classes. In their few short classes with him, they've learned basic pre-algebra skills, such as the purpose of variables in math and how to solve simple one-step equations. When asked to comment on their progress so far, Mr. Murphy stated, "Carnecia and Aaliyah are hard workers. I give them a little explanation and they're eager to work together to solve tough problems."
