Making the Community Stronger Through An Art Garden Partnership

Cornerstone Prep strategically participates in a community development strategy, working with partners to make Binghampton a healthier place to live and raise children. Cornerstone Prep actively seeks way to engage volunteers and organizations to invest in the future of the neighborhood.
Cornerstone Prep, the Binghampton Development Corporation and Christ United Methodist Church combined resources to purchase an abandoned lot located across the street from the school. The lot was purchased from the city and then converted to an art garden. Volunteers, neighbors and Cornerstone Prep students work together each week to build relationships with each other, develop artistic skills and beautify the street on which most Prepsters and their families walk each day.
