Educator Spotlight: Tarisha Smith

Meet Tarisha Smith, 5^th Grade ELA teacher at Cornerstone Prep Denver! Tarisha is a Memphis native and attended UT Martin where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She went on to obtain her Master’s in Education at University of Phoenix.

Tarisha comes from a long line of educators; she has 20 educators that go before her (WOW!). She believes that meaningful education is critical. Her goal is for all students to have confidence in themselves so that they can pursue the career of their dreams without being held back or limited. Her desire is to close educational gaps.

Aside from Tarisha’s love of teaching, she loves her city! Memphis in May, her family and friends, and the barbeque are just a few of her favorite things about Memphis.
