Educator Highlight: Ebony Jones

Today we are highlighting Ebony Jones, a Director of Curriculum and Instruction (DCI) at Cornerstone Prep Denver, supporting teachers in grades 3-5.

In each of our schools we have three DCIs who coach and support teachers at all grade levels, helping teachers solve classroom problems and grow professionally.

We asked Ebony a few questions about her role as a DCI at Cornerstone Prep Denver:

Why do you consider your work as a DCI so important? In my role as a DCI, I support rapid teacher growth through ongoing coaching and professional development.  As a result of my work, teachers are able to provide students with engaging high quality instruction.

Why would you encourage teaching candidates to consider joing our team at CPD? Our school is located in the heart of Frayser.  When I think about teaching at CPD, a quote comes to mind: “Teachers affect eternity; no one can tell where their influence stops.”  The work that teachers do at CPD will impact the Frayer community for generations to come.

How can a teacher in our schools expect to be supported by our DCIs? As a member of the CPD team, you will receive ongoing support through professional development, live coaching, and 1:1 coaching that meets your individual needs.

Consider joining this work by applying to teach in our of our schools, where you will be supported and challenged in your growth as an educator. Click here to learn more about joining our team!
