Educator Highlight: Andrew Rigsby

Cornerstone Prep Denver, one of the elementary schools operated by Capstone Education Group, is nearing the end of its second school year. Today we are highlighting Andrew Rigsby, one of our founding teachers at CPD, who is currently teaching in a fifth grade classroom.

We stopped in to observe his class during small group instruction and later asked him a few questions about his experience as an educator in our school. Here's what he had to say:

What is one reason you like working at Cornerstone Prep Denver? CPD is a family that works together to make a lasting impact on every child who walks through that door. Working at CPD feels like you are working to make a difference.

How have you grown as an educator while working at CPD? I have seen myself grow in areas I thought I never would. The experience and skills I have acquired through my time at CPD has taught me that I can handle anything that is thrown my way.

Why would you encourage another educator to consider teaching at CPD? Capstone Education Group's mission statement is "to equip all students," and Cornerstone Prep Denver equips all teachers, as well. Teachers are cared for, properly trained, and well supplied with anything necessary to give their students the best education possible.
