Kayla Inclan, 7th grade Lester Prep ELA teacher, chose to work in urban education because she sees the need to provide urban students the same education as other students living elsewhere in different circumstances. Born out west in Tucson, Arizona, Kayla chose to come to Memphis to meet that need for our city’s children.
Kayla loves working for CEG, where she gets consistent encouragement and accountability from her leaders. “I love the support I get from my admin team. They do so much to make sure we are doing the right things for kids,” says Kayla.
A former Cappella group member, Kayla enjoys hanging out with friends at Westy’s downtown, eating Memphis barbeque and listening to John Mayer.
