Yolanda Dandridge, Founding Principal
We are excited to welcome Dr. Yolanda Dandridge as the principal of Cornerstone Prep School, our CEG's newest school serving families in the Parkway Village, Sherwood and surrounding communities. A native of Cary, Mississippi, Dr. Dandridge comes from a family of educators following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother. She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Millsaps College, a Master’s in Elementary Education from Mississippi College, and an Educational Specialist and Doctor of Education degree in P-12 School Administration from Union University.
Dr. Dandridge began her educational career with 11 years of educational service in Mississippi. She has spent the last decade in Memphis as a Level 5 ELA teacher at Corning Achievement and Georgian Hills Achievement followed by various leadership roles including Academic Dean, Principal, Interim Superintendent/Chief Academic Officer, and Chief of School Accountability & Compliance.
As Principal of Georgian Hills, she led the school from being ranked in the worst 2% of schools to exit off the priority list within two years, maintained a level 4/5 TVAAS status, and served as the Achievement School District's nomination for the Tennessee Principal of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year.
Dr. Dandridge’s love for children, families and community as well as her passion for educational access serves as the hallmark of her educational journey. A firm believer in creating a culture of achievement and cultivating the needs of the whole child, CEG is excited to welcome her to the team at Cornerstone Prep School!
